Access This Grand Rounds NowCase 1: “Blunt Trauma After ICL Implantation”

The case is a young woman who suffered blunt trauma to her left eye following ICL implantation. The trauma resulted in opening of the corneal incision and expulsion of her entire iris. Subsequent repair included cataract extraction with IOL and artificial iris implantation.
Case 2: “Severe Dog Claw Injury”
Presented by Lynn Shi, MD
This case is a young woman who suffered a dog claw injury to her right eye when she was a child which ruptured her globe, resulting in loss of iris tissue and the crystalline lens. Many procedures later, she underwent a penetrating keratoplasty and artificial iris exchange, one of the first in the world.
