Case #1: “Eyes on the Surprise”

ABMD and Refractive Surprise Case: A 79-year-old male presents with a refractive surprise following his uncomplicated cataract surgery caused by EBMD. Pt was treated with SK/MMC and then underwent IOL exchange.
Case #2: “Trouble with the Flap”
Presented by Amal Al-Lozi, MD
LASIK Flap Interface Fluid Case: A 60-year-old male with a history of LASIK underwent cataract surgery complicated by IOL dislocation. An ACIOL was placed and later removed due to corneal edema. Now aphakic with steroid-induced glaucoma, he is referred for fluid in the LASIK flap interface. Complex case involving DSEK, IOL exchange, and eventual LASIK flap lift followed by debridement of epithelial ingrowth.
