The epinucleus is a bit of an enigma. Sometimes we see it and sometimes we don’t! This tissue between the soft lens cortex and the denser nucleus is a transition zone. Its removal can be a challenge. This movie looks at these challenges and explores techniques for efficient epinucleus removal. We also look at the role of the epinucleus in difficult cataracts like posterior polar cataracts.
