A perforating ocular trauma with large full thickness laceration of the cornea and anterior capsule was managed with a phacoemulsification procedure. As an accepted ocular consistency by means of viscoelastic agents was difficult to be achieved. Capsulorhexis was performed in two steps. During the surgery an intact posterior capsule was revealed. As a result, a one-piece IOL was placed in the bag.
