Presenting Author: Gabriel Morgado, MD, FEBO
Category: New Techniques
To describe a new technique for 4-point fixation of a posterior chamber intraocular lens in the absence of capsule support, using expanded polytetrafluoroethylene that eliminates the need for conjunctival and sclera dissection and uses a cornea microincision (2.0–2.2 mm) to insert a foldable IOL. This technique represents a safe, and minimally invasive procedure for posterior chamber IOL fixation.
