The incidence of anterior subcapsular cataracts secondary to posterior chamber pIOLs is low, but it can be misdiagnosed? Istant cataract development was observed in the left eye of a 56-year-old woman following a “capsulotomy”. The patient underwent an pIOL explantation/cataract surgery and vitrectomy to remove the cortical material was floating in the vitreous.
