This film describes a novel ocular surface imaging technique to bridge the knowledge gap between signs and symptoms in dry eye disease (DED). The variability in ocular surface temperature during the inter-blink interval could signal a paradigm shift in the understanding of DED. This also has important therapeutic implications in the management of pain and symptomatology associated with DED.
