Cataracts secondary to uveitis are synonymous with complicated cataracts. Occlusio and seclusio pupillae, peripheral anterior synechae, membrane over the lens and shallow anterior chamber are the challenges. Accurate preoperative observations and investigations to localise uveitis and adequate control of inflammation, helps in proper surgical planning, to overcome these challenges.
