Dislocated IOLs were conventionally cut and divided in the eye and removed. However, we have developed forceps and technique that can extract the IOL through a small incision (2.2 mm) in one action without cutting. This surgical procedure can be performed safely and in a short time, is expected to become the basic surgical procedure for IOL removal in the future.
