A prospective study was conducted to compare pain post photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) and crosslinking (CXL) with cold versus room temperature (RT) bandage contact lenses (BCLs), with or without ketorolac tromethamine, and to identify associated molecular factors. Results indicate that cold temperature may be effective in controlling post-operative pain with no delay in epithelial healing.
