We describe a modified technique of iris fixation. The IOL is injected into the anterior chamber after adequate pupillary constriction. Haptics are dialed behind the iris and the optic is left captured at the pupil. After the haptics are secured to the iris with sutures, the optic is gently slipped under the pupil. A similar technique can also be done for iris fixation of rigid PMMA IOL’s.
