The important points, in this case, were ED from venting incisions confirmed by confocal scanning and debridement and re-attachment of the DSAEK lenticule leading to the attachment without a re-graft. Early diagnosis and treatment of epithelial downgrowth may be associated with a good prognosis and prevent more aggressive treatments such as a repeat of grafting.
